Attempted robbery at Richmond, South Australia

Police are at the scene of an attempted robbery at Richmond.

About 5.10am today (Wednesday 3 November), patrols were called to a service station on Richmond Road after reports that a man had entered the store, grabbed a pen from the counter and threatened a staff member, demanding that he fill a bag with cash.

The attendant refused and then chased the suspect out of the store.

He was last seen running east along Richmond Road.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, bald/receding hair and he was wearing a black jacket, dark-coloured pants, red/white/black Nike Air Max shoes and a face mask.

No one was injured.
