Attempted Robbery Charges, Moreton

Officers from Mango Hill North Lakes police station and Redcliffe Child Protection & Investigation Unit have charged three teenagers with attempted robbery following multiple alleged incidents across the Moreton District.

Around 2.15pm on 27 February, it is alleged a group of youths approached a 15-year-old boy at a shopping centre on Lakes Drive in North Lakes demanding he hand over his bag.

When the boy refused, one of the youths allegedly slapped him and a physical altercation ensued with the group before they ran from the scene.

The group of youths and the victim were not known to each other. The 15-year-old boy suffered a minor injury but declined medical treatment.

It will be further alleged some of the youths involved in that incident had been involved in earlier separate incidents in the district.

Around 1.30pm on 1 January this year, it is alleged a teenage boy and a teenage girl stole items from a business on North Drive in North Lakes.

Shortly after 10am on 24 February this year, it is alleged two teenage boys stole liquor from a business on Capestone Boulevard in Mango Hill.

Around 3.20pm on 4 November 2025, it is alleged one of those same teenage boys and another teenage girl stole liquor from a business on Halpine Drive in Mango Hill.

A 15-year-old Mango Hill boy has been charged with one count of attempted robbery and two counts of enter premise and commit indictable offence. He is due to appear in Pine Rivers Children's Court on 18 March.

A 17-year-old Deception Bay boy has been charged with attempted robbery and stealing, and was due to face Caboolture Children's Court on 4 March.

A 15-year-old Kippa-Ring boy was charged with attempted robbery and is due to face Redcliffe Children's Court on 27 March.

A 14-year-old Narangba boy, a 15-year-old Southport girl and a 15-year-old Kallangur girl have all been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
