Attempted robbery in Ararat

Ararat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance following an attempted robbery in Ararat on Sunday 24 March.

Investigators have been told the victim was walking on the Pyreness Highway about 1.30am when he was approached by two unknown offenders who made demands for his wallet and watch.

The offenders engaged in a struggle with the victim who managed to free himself before the offenders fled on foot towards Campbell Street.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

The first offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180 cm tall, with a thin build, aged in his early to mid-30s and was unshaven wearing a dark hooded jumper and jeans.

The second offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175 cm tall, with a thin build, dark hair and wearing dark clothing.
