Attempted robbery of pizza bar, South Australia

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Morphett Vale pizza bar overnight.

About 1.15am on Sunday 15 November, two men entered the pizza bar on Bains Road, Morphett Vale armed with a knife and a hammer. They threatened staff and customers before being chased out of the store empty-handed.

The two suspects ran off, leaving a motorcycle behind.

There were no injuries.

Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The first suspect is described as about 180 cm tall, slim build, wearing a full face bike helmet, black jacket and gloves. The second suspect is described as of Caucasian appearance, 177 cm tall, slim build, wearing a grey hoodie.

Crime scene investigators examined the motorcycle left outside the pizza bar, before returning it to its owner. The red Yamaha had been stolen from Noarlunga last night.
