Aussie Property Website Adds Long Awaited Price Filter

Tired of wasting precious hours sifting through property listings without clear pricing? Australian house-hunters, your pleas have been heard!

The property website, realestate.com.au, has finally introduced a much-awaited filter option: "Only show properties with a price".

This update comes in response to years of complaints from buyers frustrated with listings without a display price.

This new feature comes as a relief to prospective buyers who, particularly during the property price surge following COVID-19, found themselves faced with time-consuming and often misleading listings tagged with "offers" or "submit all offers".

For years, buyers complained about the inefficiency of the search process and many even resorted to using browser plugins or console scripts to avoid property listings without a price.

The new filter, located under the Price Min/Max tab, enables users to view only those listings with a display price, effectively addressing the frustration caused by ambiguous pricing techniques by some agents.

New filter allows hiding time-wasting listings

The rival website, domain.com.au, has yet to introduce a similar feature allowing users to filter out time-wasting property listings.

A small checkbox may seem a simple change, but for Australian house-hunters, it's a game-changer.
