It's great to be here with Kevin Muscat, now the manager here of Shanghai Port FC and, indeed, the premiership winning manager here.
One of the things about Australia and China going forward is that we build the people-to-people relationships. You do that by the participation of Australians here, whether it be here in football, whether it be the tennis tournament that is going to take place in Chengdu for the Australian Open. Whether it be the business relationships that we have here as well.
I've brought with me a whole range of business people from the resources sector, the tourism sector, from the education sector, because one in four of Australian jobs is dependent upon our exports and overwhelmingly by far the largest destination for Australian exports is right here in China. About 25 per cent, more than the next four countries combined: Japan, South Korea, the United States, and India. That says something about how important this relationship is.
I'm really looking forward to later today. We'll be talking tourism, but we'll also be engaging, of course, on Tuesday, we have the Annual Leaders meeting with Premier Li, as well as the discussions with President Xi and other leaders here in China. Tomorrow, we'll have a really important business roundtable as well from businesses around Australia who've travelled up to be here and led by the Business Council of Australia. This is an important relationship and I've just been chatting with Kevin about the fact that they are ambassadors as well, we've got the captain, the winning premiership captain here. The three stars represent Shanghai Port FC's three premierships that they've won, and they're hoping to add another star on their jumpers.
KEVIN MUSCAT, MANAGER, SHANGHAI PORT FC: Yeah, that's the idea and I'd like to take the opportunity on behalf of the rest of the group here and Alex and the football club to welcome you to China. It sounds like you've got a big a few days ahead of you, but also thank you for taking the time to saying hello and taking the time to come in and spending this morning with us in Shanghai. And we'd like to present you with your own Shanghai Port FC shirt.
PRIME MINISTER: That's fantastic, thank you so much. I have played, we have a parliamentary football team. We're not very good. And we play people from the embassies from time to time and it's always been fun. I'll be able to wear that around Australia. Thank you very much. Thank you to all the other Aussies here as well.
