River levels at Katherine Bridge are expected to remain below the minor flood level for the next few days.

Katherine River Gorge Road:

Minor flooding is occurring at Nitmiluk Centre.

The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre peaked at 3.70 m around 10:20 am Thursday. The river is currently at 3.30 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre may remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday. Renewed rises are possible overnight with forecast rainfall.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.Obey road closure signs.
