ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:

MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT DALY RIVER POLICE STATION

Moderate flooding is falling slowly at the Daly River Police Station. In the upper catchment, elevated river levels along the Douglas River are easing.

Further showers and storms are forecast over the next few days, which may cause renewed river level rises and prolonged flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.

Daly River above Douglas River:

A small peak has moved along the Daly River above the Douglas River at Dorisvale Crossing following recent rainfall.

Lower Daly River:

Moderate flooding is occurring along the Daly River at Daly River Police Station, with elevated river levels that are gradually easing upstream at Beeboom Crossing, Gourley and Mount Nancar.

The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is currently at 13.47 m and falling, with moderate flooding. The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (13.10 m) Tuesday evening. The river may fall below the minor flood level (12.60 m) during Thursday.
