Axe seized, man charged in Glenbrook

A man has been charged following a confrontation at Glenbrook yesterday, NSW Police say.

Police have been told two men, aged 43 and 41, began arguing over the older man’s dog about

11.45am in the Glenbrook National Park today.

Police will allege the older man then allegedly threatened the other man with an axe and threw the axe, narrowly missing him.

The younger man left the scene and alerted police from Blue Mountains Local Area Command, who arrested the man nearby a short time later.

He was taken to Springwood Police Station where he was charged with;

-Use offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence

-Armed with intent to commit an indictable offence

-Intimidation, and,

-Common assault.

The man, from Campbelltown, was refused bail by police and will face Penrith Local Court today tomorrow.
