A trio of colleagues from Sebastopol are experiencing a Monday morning like no other, having discovered they're the lucky winners of more than $738,000 from the weekend's Saturday Lotto (TattsLotto) draw.
The three Victorians are reveling in their newfound fortune, having secured one of the seven division one winning slots in the draw 4405 on Saturday, 7 October 2023. The total prize for their entry amounted to $738,668.19.
Upon receiving the call from a lottery official, one of the winners could barely contain her excitement.
“This is unbelievable!” she exclaimed.
Reflecting on the moments leading up to the revelation, she shared,
“I was with my family on Saturday night and was waiting to check my entry, but the numbers were slow to load I assumed we’d won nothing! It finally dawned on me that we’d won division one and I had to immediately contact the two other members of this group."
Highlighting the special bond among the syndicate members, she added,
"We only started playing together this year, but I’ve been playing for 40 years. It’s even nicer because I get to share this with a couple of other people. It’s going to change our lives.”
The trio, who just began their lottery partnership this year, have already set their sights on how to utilize the winnings. One of the winners revealed home renovations would be at the top of their list.
“I’ve been wanting to fix up our kitchen, concrete the driveway and do a few other things so that will be what happens first. I’ll also share it with my children and ensure they get a little boost."
