Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit is investigating a burglary which occurred at a residential address in Balwyn North on Saturday 18 May.
It is believed two offenders have attended an address on Doncaster Road sometime between 1:30pm and 4pm.
While at the address the offenders were disturbed by the victim's mother at the front of the property. One of the two offenders indicated that he was a 'renderer' and was looking to quote on potential works to the family home.
The male offender was asked to leave the property to which he complied.
Later that day, the same male was captured on CCTV returning to the property once the residents had left committing a burglary and theft on the address.
Investigators have released images and CCTV footage of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
