Bandaged Bear Day - Friday 2 March

Reaching out ahelping hand for sick kids

Thousands of sick and injured children turn to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for a helping hand every year. They rely on help from doctors for treatment, help from nurses for care and help from researchers for answers.

On Friday 2 March, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead will be asking the community to reach out a helping hand for Bandaged Bear Day to help ensure children and young people can live their healthiest lives.

Bandaged Bear Day, which forms part of the annual month-long Bandaged Bear Appeal, will see volunteers hitting train stations and streets all around Sydney to sell merchandise and collect donations.

Merchandise will include the iconic clip-on bear as well as wristbands, pens, supporter pins, notepads and key rings, with prices ranging from two to five dollars. They will be available at the following train stations from approximately 5.00 – 9.00 am:

  • Blacktown
  • Bondi Junction
  • Central
  • Chatswood
  • Circular Quay
  • Fairfield
