Banna Avenue garden beds set for improvement

Griffith residents will be happy to see garden beds in Banna Avenue (along Prods Straight) enhanced following negotiations with Transport for NSW to ensure the state-owned road is well maintained.

In a pleasing development, Transport for NSW has committed to helping enhance the aesthetic appeal and safety of Banna Avenue by contributing to the cost of maintenance of the garden beds.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said the collaboration acknowledges the importance of public spaces and their impact on the well-being of residents.

"It's good to see Transport for NSW has come on board to help improve these garden beds," said Councillor Curran.

"We recently heard loud and clear that the community want to see this area maintained and where possible improved.

"These garden beds are part of the State Road network so we have worked hard to get them on board to improve the beds. This collaboration is a testament to the power of working together for a common cause. The revitalised gardens will make the street more appealing."
