A man has been charged after allegedly being involved in a domestic incident in the Far South Coast yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 6am on Saturday 4 June 2016, a man attended a home Eric Fenning Drive Surfbeach and allegedly assaulted a woman before leaving the scene.
About 10pm (5 June 2016), officers from the Far South Coast Local Area Command attended a home on Pallana Street, Surfside, following reports of a man barricaded in a home.
Following a police operation involving local police and Police Negotiators, at 5.45am yesterday, officers arrested a 28-year-old at the home.
He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station where he was charged with common assault, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention and larceny.
He has been bail refused and is due to appear at Batemans Local Court yesterday.
The incident is believed to be domestic related.
