Barricade situation, NSW

A man is currently being assessed at hospital following a barricade situation at Seven Hills today, NSW Police say.

Shortly after 10.20am today, officers from Department of Housing attended a home on Chopin Street, Seven Hills to conduct repairs.

Upon arrival, the 47-year-old man became aggressive and police were called.

Officers from Quakers Hill Local Area Command attended and spoke with the man. The man allegedly made threats towards officers and barricaded himself inside the home.

A perimeter was established.

Following a police operation involving local police, Police Negotiators, Tactical Operations Unit, NSW Ambulance and NSW Fire & Rescue, at 7.45pm today, officers arrested the man without incident at his home.

He was taken to hospital for further assessment.
