Bass Coast Honors 2026 Community Award Winners

Bass Coast Shire Council has recognised five exceptional individuals and organisations at the 2026 Bass Coast Community Awards, celebrating the volunteers, leaders and community groups who make Bass Coast a stronger, more connected and inclusive place to live.

Held at Berninneit, Cowes, the awards ceremony was emceed by Brett de Hoot of Hootville Communications, with special guest Sarah Pedersen, the 2025 Community Leader Award recipient, sharing her reflections on community leadership. Guests also enjoyed a performance by musician Nic Huigsloot, before winners were presented with their awards by Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari.

Cr Tessari said the Community Awards were an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary contributions being made across Bass Coast each and every day.

"Each year, these awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the people who strengthen our community through generosity, leadership and quiet, everyday commitment" Cr Tessari said.

"Tonight's finalists represent the very best of that spirit, and being recognised among your peers is a genuine achievement."
