Baw Baw Shire Council is heading to Trafalgar for its next open community briefing in November.
Residents are encouraged to attend the open community briefing on Tuesday 18 November from 4pm to 6pm at the Trafalgar Community Centre to share their ideas, ask questions, and learn more about key projects shaping the future of Trafalgar.
Councillors are joining Council officers to discuss the status of some of the key projects impacting the town including the sale of the Trafalgar Business Centre, the adoption of the Trafalgar Structure Plan and plans for implementation and the current proposed timing of the second oval development in Trafalgar.
Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Danny Goss is encouraging the community to head down to Trafalgar and have their say on some of these key projects in their town.
"As well as hearing updates on what is taking place and what is coming up, we are also keen to seek community feedback on the proposed upgrade of the kinder in Contingent Street, options to maximise use of the community centre and playground equipment renewals," Cr Goss said.
"We are keen to engage the community and these opening community briefings are one way we can get out to the towns and hear from our rate payers in person to help inform council decision-making moving into the future.
"We want to ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping our community. This briefing is a chance to listen, learn, and collaborate."
CFA will also attend and provide a short presentation on being prepared for the upcoming summer season.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided, and registration is free.
