Bayside Council's beloved annual Photography Competition returns from Thursday 1 October to Saturday 31 October, inviting local photographers to choose from eight categories to capture the moments that make Bayside special.
The competition invites residents, from passionate amateurs to established creatives, to tell Bayside's story through the lens, celebrating its distinctive character across coastal landscapes, vibrant neighbourhoods, dynamic public spaces, native flora and fauna, and people at work, rest and play.
Categories include: Open, Natural Environment, Waterways, Transport, Active, Neighbourhood and Junior. This year, an additional category has been included. Built Design encourages photographers to capture the unique built forms, details and spaces that shape Bayside, from historic architecture to contemporary public spaces.
With a prize pool of $4300, winners will be recognised and celebrated with the whole community. Successful images, along with a curated selection of finalist works, will be showcased in high-profile public locations including The Grand Eastlakes, Brighton Le Sands Boardwalk, and the T1 International Arrivals Terminal at Sydney Airport early next year, sharing Bayside's creativity and beauty with locals and visitors alike.
