The iconic Black Rock Clock Tower has been revealed as the site for Bayside's yarnbombing extravaganza to be installed in the winter of 2023.
Bayside City Council has partnered with the GLAD Rappers to bring this amazing project to life. This is a unique opportunity for the community to participate in, through the production of knitted or crocheted rectangles, to create a temporary piece of public art out of this familiar timekeeper.
The final installation will be in place for 6 weeks for the community to enjoy. Upon completion, the rectangles will be dissembled and donated to KOGO (Knit One Give One) - an organisation that creates blankets for shelters, aged care homes, people in need, and those affected by disaster.
