Police have charged a Beaconsfield man with making a false report of a robbery at a Beauty Point business around 6:15am this morning, Tasmania Police say.
The 43-year-old man will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
Members of the public who saw a high police presence in the Beauty Point area early this morning are assured there is no cause for concern.
