Beam E-scooter donation to bushfire volunteer foundation

Beam Mobility will today hand over a donation cheque for $3750 to the Country Fire Service Volunteer Foundation.

The donation comes at the successful conclusion of a two week fundraising promotion by Beam, that saw the e-scooter company donate 25 cents from every s-cooter ride in Adelaide to the CFS Foundation over a two week period.

Beam Community Manager Adam Rosetto said that Beam chose to support and highlight the work of CFS Foundation because of the significant contribution they make to the community.

"The early start to the bushfire season has seen thousands of volunteer firefighters give up their time to protect and defend our community. We wanted to highlight the contribution of the CFS volunteers and say thank you"

"The volunteers sacrifice time with family or other commitments to help keep our community safe. By supporting the CFS Foundation we are helping to ensure that volunteers and their families are looked after when they need help and support."

Chief Executive Officer of the CFS Foundation, Gloria Berni thanked Beam for their support.

"On behalf of the members of the CFS Foundation Board, we thank Beam e-scooters for their generous donation. Their support of our CFS Volunteers is very much appreciated."

"Through donations such as these, the Foundation is able to continue to assist CFS Volunteers and their families in times of great need and stress. Not only have our volunteers been fighting fires in South Australia but many hundreds have been deployed to assist firefighting efforts interstate."

"This year will be one of extreme conditions and high fire danger, so the Foundation is conscious of being ready to assist the volunteers should the worst happen."Ms Berni Said.

The CFS Foundation was formed in 2001, and its purpose is to provide immediate financial support to CFS volunteer fire-fighters and their families in the event of death, injury or loss of property while engaging in their community service. Visit the CFS Foundation cfsfoundation.org.au

Beam encourages all businesses to find ways to recognise, help and support our volunteer emergency services by adopting policies to support their employees who volunteer with the Country Fire Service or State Emergency Service or by running donation drives like this one.
