A Berwick man's relaxing sleep-in turned frantic after he woke up to numerous notifications that led him to the news of a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win.
The Victorian resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11085, drawn Thursday 9 July 2026. He can look forward to a tidy $100,000.
When we spoke with him, the joyous man admitted it'd had been a hard year with some health hiccups, but the win had given him something to smile about.
"I'm in a bit of shock still!" he laughed.
"This year I've had a bit of a rough trot with my health, so you have no idea how nice it is to get some good news.
"I'm not a morning person so when I got up, I saw all your emails and texts and things saying, 'Check your account!'.
"I had a look and I was just gobsmacked. I'm trying not to swear right now just thinking about it.
"You don't know what this money means for me. I'll be debt free for the first time in a very long time. I won't have a mortgage.
"I quite often just add a Lucky Lotteries ticket for $2.30. I can't believe it has won me $100,000.
"Thank you so much!"
His winning entry of one random number was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
