A big thank you goes to all the kids, young adults and their helpers who participated in our Big Summer Read program. We were thrilled that so many of you made reading a part of your summer holiday, especially when there are so many competing options to choose from when you're on break.
We had 32 kids and 17 adults attend our Wrap-Up Party, along with 4 library helpers and guest of honour, Mayor Kinne Ring. We enjoyed some tasty snacks and drinks, and a free screening of 'The Pout-Pout Fish' (it was 'so fin').
Our major prize winner was Eevie B, and our minor prize winner was Zac F. The winner of the Rose Eastham Reading Prize was Nell T, and the participation awards were won by Thomas S, Gina C and Grace F.
Thank you to Riverside Movies Kempsey, and Mayor Kinne Ring for supporting this important reading initiative, and a special round of applause goes to Kempsey Library volunteer, Rose Eastham, who donated a prize to our Big Summer Read program.
