Bikies arrested for blackmail, South Australia

Three men will face court after they were arrested for blackmail charges early this morning.

Members of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch, with the assistance of STAR Group, conducted searches on three houses and arrested three men just after 5.30am (Thursday 20 December).

Police will allege that between August and December 2018, two members and an associate of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang blackmailed a woman for the payment of a large sum of money.

All three men have been charged with blackmail, a 39-year-old man from St Georges, a 44-year-old man from Glenelg North and a 30-year-old man from Lighstview.

All three men have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

A fourth man, a 40-year old from Lightsview, was arrested for an unrelated matter and has been charged with fabricating evidence. He has been granted bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 February.
