Blacktown City Council has cancelled next weekend's Blacktown City Medieval Fayre due to concern for public safety after Sydney experienced four times the average rainfall for August.
Council will refund people with tickets to the event's 20th anniversary at Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside.
The Fayre had been postponed from its initial dates in May, also due to heavy rain.
Council would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's Blacktown City Festival's 50th anniversary celebrations, predominantly held in May.
About 20,000 people attended one of the biggest festivals in the event's history, which included Streets Alive and Parade Day, Vibes by the Lake and the Sweet Indulgence Dessert Festival.
The Blacktown City Festival remains one of the largest and longest-running in Western Sydney.
