Bobcat used to steal ATM in southern NSW

A bobcat has been used to steal an automatic teller machine from a shopping centre in southern NSW this morning.

Police were called to a shopping complex on Perricoota Road, Moama, about 4.30am (Monday 25 February 2019), after a bobcat was driven through the front doors and used to push over a freestanding ATM.

The ATM has then been removed from the centre.

A second freestanding ATM has been extensively damaged by the bobcat, which remains inside the building.

Officers from Murray River Police District have established a crime scene and initiated inquiries.

At this time police do not know how the ATM was transported from the complex, and they are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call Moama Police or Crime Stoppers.
