Council is delighted to announce that 42 local Snowy Monaro community initiatives have been awarded grants totalling more than $280,000 thanks to the 2026 Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund.

The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund was established as part of the NSW Government's approval for the Boco Rock Wind Farm project. Each year, a portion of the wind farm's revenue is set aside by the windfarm's operators, TILT Renewables, to support local community initiatives.

The fund supports projects, events, and organisations that make the Snowy Monaro community so great.

Some of the projects receiving funding in 2026
  • Delegate Preschool safety upgrades - $24,200
  • Nimmitabel Pioneers Memorial Hall foyer ceiling replacement - $12,300
  • Jerangle Cemetery wombat exclusion project - $5,705.05
  • Numeralla Folk Festival 50th year event - $3,600

The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund Committee-made up of community members, councillors and TILT Renewables representatives-assesses applications against a comprehensive set of assessment criteria to determine funding allocations.

Applications for the 2027 Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund will open in the first half of 2027. Community groups are encouraged to start planning their applications now to give their projects the best chance of success.
