Body found during blaze - Glenfield

The body of a man has been found during a fire in a granny flat in Sydney's south-west today.

Emergency services were called to a property on Belmont Road, Glenfield, about 4.20pm (Tuesday 31 August 2021) following reports of a fire.

Upon arrival, officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command found a granny flat at the rear of the property on fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW are working to extinguish the blaze and have located the body of a man from the flat.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
