Body Located After House Fire At Lismore

A body has been located following a fire at a home in East Lismore earlier this morning.

About 5.45am (Tuesday 30 September 2025), emergency services were called to the home on Belvedere Drive following reports of a fire.

At the scene, officers found the front rooms of the home fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze; however, the home sustained significant damage.

The body of a man was located at the home and is yet to be formally identified.

Officers are waiting on the home to be declared structurally sound before the property can be entered.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire are underway.
