A body, believed to be that of a missing fisherman who fell from rocks at Timber Beach last week, has been recovered.
About 10.15am today (Thursday 11 July 2019), a member of the public located a body on rocks about 100m off shore near Wybung Head.
Officers from Tuggerah Lake Police District, Marine Area Command and the Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter commenced a retrieval operation.
While the body is yet to be identified, it’s believed to be that of a 62-year-old man who fell from rocks while rock fishing south of Caves Beach on Sunday 7 July 2019.
