Inquiries continue after a body was discovered at Newcastle today, NSW Police say.
About 11.30am today, emergency services were called to Nobbys Break wall, Newcastle, after reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to Newcastle Local Area Command attended and found the body of a man.
Police established a crime scene.
At this stage there is nothing to suggest the man’s death is suspicious, however the body will be forensically examined and subject to a post-mortem to determine cause of death.
The body remains unidentified, and can only be described as a Caucasian male.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Newcastle Police or Crime Stoppers.
