Police have retrieved the body of a man in a river near Newcastle today, NSW Police say.
About 12pm (Tuesday 30 January 2018), police were called to the Hunter River, near Nelsons Plains, following the discovery of a body.
While he has not been formally identified, police believed the body to be of an 18-year-old man last seen in Raymond Terrace on Sunday 28 January 2018.
The man’s death is not believed to suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
