Body of missing swimmer found - Murray River

Police have recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Murray River on the NSW-Victoria border yesterday.

Just after 5pm (Friday 11 September 2020), emergency services were called to the river at Mildura after the 21-year-old man disappeared underwater and did not resurface.

Officers from Barrier Police District attended and commenced a search of the area with assistance from the State Emergency Service.

About 2.15.pm today (Saturday 12 September), the man's body was recovered in the Murray River, Mildura.
