CHANGED ROAD CONDITIONS: A number of boom gates are down throughout Cairns due to a malfunction, Queensland Police say.
Delays are expected at the following rail crossings:
• Draper Street
• Dutton Street,
• Kenny Street,
• Spence Street,
• Aplin Street,
• Florence Street,
• Minnie Street.
Delays are expected until at least 8am.
Motorists are urged to avoid these rail crossing intersections and search an alternative route prior to making their morning departure.
It is expected traffic volumes will increase in other areas not impacted by rail crossing due to diversions.
