Boost Business: Join Council's Procurement Session

Bega Valley Shire Council invites interested suppliers of materials, products or services to a free breakfast and information session at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, Bega on Tuesday 2 December from 7.30am to 11am.

Council's Director Organisational Services, Iliada Bolton said existing and potential suppliers to Council will to learn about upcoming opportunities, a number of changes in Council's procurement and contract management and importantly, tools to assist when responding to our procurement activities.

"We want a better working relationship with suppliers and more streamlined project delivery," Ms Bolton said.

"At our breakfast information session, we will provide details on upcoming opportunities across Council departments, including seven procurement panels that will be released to the market in the coming months.

"We will take attendees through our new procurement templates and show them how to complete the new Returnable Form and Schedules. We will also provide tips on submitting invoices to assist in timely payments.

"If suppliers are not yet registered on VendorPanel, we will show them how to sign up and navigate the system so they can find opportunities for their businesses.

"There will also be time to provide feedback on what would be beneficial to suppliers when working with Council, it is so important to us to understand supplier experiences of working with Council and help us make future improvements."
