Borough working on removing boating fees

The Borough of Queenscliffe has been working with the Victorian Government to implement the commitment to remove parking fees at the Queenscliff Boat Ramp. We're excited about this change and share the Government's goal of making boating more accessible to everyone.

While we work on getting this transition under way, here are some quick facts about what fee-free boating will mean for boaters in Queenscliff:

Is the ramp being upgraded?

Better Boating Victoria (BBV) is planning an upgrade to the Queenscliff Boat Ramp. Council has been working closely with BBV to organise and plan for these upgrade works. Council and BBV will have more to say on this project as it progresses.

Who will maintain the ramp?

Council is working with the Victorian Government to organise a funding plan for the boat ramp. This plan will ensure that maintenance funding for the ramp remains available after fees are removed. This is one of the most important parts of planning for the ramp's future, and we hope to have an agreement finalised soon.

When will parking fees be removed?

As soon as a funding agreement is finalised, parking fees will be removed at the Queenscliff Boat Ramp. We'll put notices up on our website when this occurs. Until then, parking fees still apply, but we expect an agreement to finalised soon.

We're looking forward to having boaters and fishers continue to visit our community and enjoy our outstanding boating opportunities.
