Boy bitten during attempted robbery, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after a boy was bitten on the cheek during an attempted robbery at Macquarie Park, NSW Police say.

About 11.40am yesterday (Monday 16 April 2018), a 13-year-old boy was with a friend at a shopping centre on Herring Road.

He was approached by two males who threatened him and tried to steal his shoes.

The boy pushed one of the males away before he was assaulted and bitten on the cheek.

The 13-year-old boy managed to escape and received medical treatment.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Police wish to speak with two males who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

One male has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18 and 20, 170-175cm tall, of a medium build, blond short shaved hair, and a tattoo of the letter ‘K’ on the back of his left hand. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, green cargo pants and a black baseball cap.

A second male has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18 and 22, 170-180cm tall, of a muscular build, brown short hair, unshaven, and with a tattoo of an uncoloured rose on the back of his right hand. He was last seen wearing a grey over black jumper, blue denim jeans and a black and white chequered baseball cap.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Ryde Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
