Boy charged following syringe incident - Broadmeadows

Police have charged a teenage boy tonight following an incident where children were pricked by a syringe at a Broadmeadows supermarket, Victoria Police say.

A 14-year-old Coburg boy was arrested in Warburton tonight by detectives from Hume Crime Investigation Unit.

He has been charged with two counts of recklessly cause injury.

The boy has been bailed to appear at a children’s court on 20 September.

The charges following an incident at a supermarket on Pascoe Vale Road on 17 July where two children were pricked by a syringe.
