Boy critical after pedestrian crash - Manly

An investigation is underway after a boy was struck by a vehicle in Sydney's north today.

Just after 3.40pm (Friday 9 April 2021), emergency services were called to Pittwater Road near Balgowlah Road, Manly, after reports a child had been struck by a vehicle.

A boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and was airlifted to the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick in a critical condition.

The male driver of a utility will be taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
