Boy Dies After Crash North-west Of Inverell

A boy has died following a crash 50km north-west of Inverell this morning.

About 11.05am (Thursday 9 October 2025), emergency services were called to Girraween Road, Graman, after reports of a crash.

Officers attached to New England Police District attended and found a utility had left the road and rolled.

An 11-year-old boy – who is believed to have been the driver of the car – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.

A passenger – a second 11-year-old boy – was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.

The vehicle was seized for forensic examination.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
