Inquiries are continuing after a child was hit by a car at Fairfield tonight (25 November 2016), NSW Police say.
About 7.25pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Hardy and Sackville streets at Fairfield after reports a child had been hit by a car.
A seven-year-old boy was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment. It is believed the boy has a broken leg.
The driver of the car, a male in his 20s, underwent a roadside breath test at the scene which returned a negative result. He has provided a version of events to police at the scene.
Inquiries are continuing.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
