Do you and the kids love to spin, swing, and slide on the new play equipment at Yewdale Park? You'll soon be able to do it in the shade, thanks to a $125,000 investment from Rockhampton Regional Council.
Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Councillor, Cherie Rutherford, said being able to stay sun safe while playing was important.
"This brand new 18m by 13m shade will make it even easier to enjoy the recently installed playground equipment.
"The new equipment – which includes climbing structures, a flying fox, swings, and a rodeo board – has been a real hit with families, and this shade structure is the icing on the cake.
