Brazen theft of luggage in Melbourne CBD

Melbourne East police are investigating the brazen theft of luggage in Melbourne's CBD on Friday 18 March.

Investigators were told a 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Lake Haven in New South Wales, had their backpacks stolen from outside a hotel on Bourke Street about 8.20pm.

The backpacks contained medications, computer tablets and personal items belonging to the couple.
