Detectives have charged a 30-year-old man with 66 offences as part of Operation Exscind which was created to investigate a series of break and enter incidents across Gladstone and Tannum Sands over the past two months.
Between Thursday, February 20 and Sunday, May 4, a number of businesses were allegedly broken into in Gladstone and Yarwun.
Shortly after, between Monday, May 5 and Thursday, May 8 a number of businesses were allegedly broken into at Tannum Sands.
Around 5.20pm on Sunday, May 11, officers from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) attended an address in West Gladstone locating and arresting a man in connection to the offences.
A 30-year-old man from South Gladstone was charged with 28 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, 20 counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, 11 counts of attempted enter premises with intent, two counts each of unlawful use of motor vehicle at night, and drive whilst disqualified, and one count each of wilful damage, stealing, and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear before Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 13.
