Break and enter – Meadowbrook

Police are investigating after a car was used to gain entry to a hotel at Meadowbrook in the early hours of this morning, Queensland Police say.

Around 12.50am a silver Suzuki Swift was driven into a roller door of hotel bottle shop at Logandowns Drive dislocating it from its railing causing an opening to the store.

A male entered the premises just as a second car, a Volvo arrived. A second male offender has gotten out of the Volvo and entered the bottle shop as well. Both offenders exited the bottle shop with a quantity of alcohol which was loaded into the Volvo with the help of a third male offender.

Two of the offenders then re-enter the bottle shop stealing more alcohol and putting it in the Volvo.

A worker from the hotel has confronted the trio who drove off in the Volvo which was last seen heading down Logandowns Drive.

The Suzuki Swift which was confirmed as stolen was left at the scene.

The first offender is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, 170-180cm tall, proportionate build wearing dark blue shorts, blue and white trainers, gloves and no t-shirt on with a red t-shirt covering his face.

The second offender is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, 170-175cm tall, slim build, wearing light blue shorts, black Nike trainers, no shirt and a light blue t-shirt wrapped around his right hand and black clothing wrapped around his head.

Police investigations reveal the grey 2010 Volvo with Queensland registration QRE01 which was used in the incident was stolen.
