Break and Enters, Carrara and Coomera

Police have released CCTV of two people as part of the investigation into the break and enters of two Gold Coast supermarkets in the past two days.

Just before 4.00am yesterday (Tuesday July 20), two people forced entry to a Carrara supermarket on Manchester Road by smashing the front glass doors using an axe and crowbar.

The offenders then attempted to forced entry to a cigarette cabinet behind the front counter but failed, before fleeing on foot in a northbound direction.

Around 1.45am this morning (Wednesday July 21), two people forced entry to a Coomera supermarket on Foxwell Road by smashing the front glass doors with a crowbar and a sledgehammer, or something similar.

The offenders then gained entry to the cigarette cabinet behind the front counter before stealing a quantity of tobacco products and fleeing in a waiting motor vehicle.

Police believe these two offences are linked.

One of the offenders walks with a pronounced limp. Police are appealing to anyone who recognises the people depicted in the footage, or anyone who has information in relation to these offences, to come forward.
