20 September 2019

Mornington Peninsula Shire offers support and information for breastfeeding mothers across the Peninsula. This is a free service with no appointment required.

From Monday 23 September, our breastfeeding drop in service is moving from Rye Child and Family Health Centre to Tootgarook.

Breastfeeding drop in sessions will now be available at the Tootgarook Child and Family Health Centre located at 22/24 Barry Street in Tootgarook, every Monday (except Public Holidays) from 1-3.30pm

Breastfeeding has many benefits for both mother and baby. Breast milk contains all the nutrients a growing baby needs for the first six months of life.

Breastfeeding can be both a rewarding and challenging experience – it takes time to get used to and it's a learning curve for you and your baby.

If you experience any challenges when breastfeeding and want support, you can visit the Tootgarook Breastfeeding drop in service, talk to your Maternal and Child Health nurse or call the Maternal and Child Health Line on 13 22 29.
