Bridgewater CIB investigate Old Beach burglaries, TAS

Bridgewater CIB is investigating a number of vehicle and house burglaries that occurred in the Old Beach area earlier this week, Tasmania Police say.

Tasmania Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Old Beach area during the late evening of Sunday 24 September and the early hours of Monday 25 September.

In some of these incidents offenders have targeted vehicles and homes that were unlocked.

Tasmania Police would like to take this opportunity to remind people to lock and secure their homes and vehicles.

Making sure your property is secure is an effective way to reduce the likelihood that opportunistic burglars will see your property as an easy target. Many burglaries occur when an offender discovers an open window or an unlocked door and takes the opportunity to enter the home or vehicle. For more information and tips on how to make your property safer go to Tasmania Police’s website www.police.tas.gov.au.

If you have any information in relation to the Old Beach burglaries contact the Bridgewater CIB on 6173 2010.
