The vision is another major step on the road to delivering the Games.
The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee has chosen a vision that champions the following messages:
- Believe: belief in the power of sport and the Australian spirit, which together unlock limitless potential, grit and heart to go further than ever imagined.
- Belong: a vision in which everyone is welcome at the Games, with every person celebrated, creating a playing field that is fair and fun.
- Become: a moment of opportunity for all Australians to harness the magic of the Games and become stronger moving into an exciting new era.
Every edition of the Games has a vision, a short statement that acts as a guiding principle for the event. Brisbane launched theirs following an extensive consultation process which included input from more than 6,000 Australians.
The themes in the Games Vision are similar to the priorities of Australia's National Sport Strategy, Sport Horizon.
Sport Horizon's priorities for sport in Australia over the next decade are:
- Inclusion
- Participation
- High performance
- Safety
- International Engagement, and
- Economy and Environment.
The Australian Government is proud to be partnering with the Queensland Government to fund key venue and transport projects and other initiatives which will support the successful delivery of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Games will leave a lasting impact and legacy across Australia and the broader Oceania region.
We are excited to support the planning and delivery of this major sporting event, with the Games Vision and National Sport Strategy at the centre of our work.
