BRISBANE: Cancellation of 2020 Alliance Francaise French Film Festival in Brisbane

Alliance Francaise Brisbane

It's with much sadness that we advise Alliance Francaise French Film Festival in Brisbane has been cancelled due to ongoing concerns around the impact of COVID-19, the CoronaVirus.

The 31st Alliance Francaise French Film Festival was due to begin tonight and continue until April 14 however, given this morning's directive by the Prime Minister to ban all non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people, along with continuing concerns about the health and safety of our staff and patrons, Alliance Francaise Brisbane and our venue partner Palace Cinemas have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

We are grateful to have such a loyal and enthusiastic film-loving community who have supported us year on year and, with your assistance, we hope to be back bigger and better in 2021.

Palace representatives will shortly contact patrons who have booked online. Any patrons seeking refunds for in-person bookings can contact Palace Barracks by
